"What an exciting time this is for our Foundation", noted Kathy A. Drury, President of the Board of Directors in her opening comments. "I know that all across Mississauga, there are so many valued friends, donors, fund holders and volunteers who are in one way or another, a valued part of the growth of our Foundation. Each of them is an integral part of our success, especially tonight as we make these grants. Mississauga is a great city; we are committed to building a great community foundation."
"For the Community Foundation of Mississauga, 2005 truly was a transformative year. We cannot help but celebrate the financial growth in our endowed assets because it is the growth in our endowments that makes it possible to increase our grants for charitable initiatives. And this is what will help make the Community Foundation of Mississauga a vital partner in ensuring important programs and services are available to people", noted the Foundation's Executive Director, Eileen MacKenzie. "We acknowledge and celebrate our donors whose commitment to their community has made these grants possible."
