Being accountable to the community we serve is a fundamental value of the Community Foundation of Mississauga and the national organization, Community Foundations of Canada, of which we are a member. One of our ten values states:

We are responsive and accountable; We are reputable stewards of community resources and are committed to being accountable, responsive and transparent. We continually look for the best ways to invest our assets to meet our mission. We are open and accessible, fair and objective, flexible and timely as we work with grant seekers, donors, volunteers and others in the community.

Increasingly, stakeholders are looking for accountability from the charitable sector... but what does that mean? Each individual finds different aspects of this concept relevant to how they might measure accountability. On this page of our web site, we will provide some links and information which we feel might help best inform you of how we commit to and demonstrate our accountability. But by all means, we would like to hear from you. If there is something you are interested in learning more about, please Contact us and let us know your thoughts.
